Elizabeth A. Aurin is a licensed Chemical Engineer from UST; consultant/facilitator on ISO9000, ISO22000, and HACCP; an assessor for the Philippine Quality Award. She played leading role as QE in San Miguel’s Coconut Oil Milling & Refining Operations program that was responsible for European Union customers’ favorable response on the company’s coconut oil product. Later she worked with the Corporate Quality Office of San Miguel Corporation for 8 years where she handled training courses on Malcolm Baldrige, ISO, 5S, Internal Quality Audit and other TQM courses. She was the 5S and Knowledge Management coordinator for the Corporate Offices prior to her retirement at SMC in 1999.
Leodemayo C. Casis or Odze for short, a product of Philippine Science High School was Quality Systems Assurance Manager at On Semiconductor Philippines Inc. (formerly Motorola Philippines, Inc.) Odze graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Communications Engineering from St. Louis University in Baguio. Having more than 18 years experience in manufacturing, Mr. Casis is a qualified Auditor for ISO9001, QS-9000/TS16949, and ISO 14001having in-depth knowledge of international standards such as SAC, SEI-CMM and GMP.
Joel B. Ello is a Safety Trainor at National Power Corporation where he designs and handles programs like Occupational Safety & Health, First Aid, Loss Control Management, Fire Safety, Job Hazard Analysis, Accident Investigation, and other Safety-related courses. Mr. Ello has an MBA and post-graduate diploma on Human Resource Development. He is an accredited Safety Consultant by the Department of Labor & Employment and Philippine National Red Cross respectively. A tireless safety preacher, Mr. Ello has helped other government agencies and private companies as well.
Normand M. Ga specializes in logistics to include warehousing, import and export processing, and inventory management. He is currently Operations Manager at IDS Logistics (Phils.) Inc. in-charge of major key accounts on third party logistics arrangements and previously worked with companies namely: Golden ABC and Selecta Walls Inc. in various managerial capacities under the logistics function. Normand holds a post-graduate diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from De La Salle Professional School. Jose A. Hilario is a name that comes up very often in the field of energy conservation in refrigeration and air conditioning. A registered Professional Mechanical Engineer, Joe has been a consultant on energy conservation and efficiency of commercial establishments, food and electronics manufacturing. His experiences included managing a division of a large construction company on air conditioning and refrigeration, including its sales, design, manufacturing, project management, service and maintenance, and retrofitting such systems. Since the early 1980’s, he has been an international consultant/lecturer on energy conservation in refrigeration and air conditioning. In 1992, Engr. Hilario received the Energy Professional of the Year Award from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Marvin I. Norona - With profound and solid experience in various areas of manufacturing, this fine gentleman got his BS Industrial Engineering and Master of Business Administration from the University of the Philippines. Worked both here and abroad occupying top positions, Engr. Norona introduced innovation and exemplified excellence where he was. Among others, he worked in Jefferson Millwork & Design Inc. (US), San Miguel Corp., and Jollibee Corp. His forte includes Lean Manufacturing, logistics, and operations research.
Henry O. Palaca is an ISO 9000 consultant, trainer and lead auditor for more than 10 years, he assisted more than 30 clients to ISO 9000 certification. He facilitates in public and in-house training programs on courses under QMS, IQA and Business Process Improvement. A registered QMS auditor (IRCA) in London, he conducted audit with more than 50 companies. Previously held key positions in Mariwasa Ceramics Group and Splash Group, and as quality management consultant at Neville Clarke. He is concurrently a Consultant at Kaizen Management Systems and an Assistant Professor at Mapua Tech. Mr. Palaca is a member of Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ). He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Master in Technology Management from the University of the Philippines. Gerardine Josefina L. Sayo, MD got her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sto. Tomas. Among others, Dr. Sayo is a medical consultant in Psychiatry, Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. Gie, as she is fondly called, has served as resource person on various popular radio and television programs and seminars related to her field of expertise. On top of her clinical practice of medicine, she is involved in charity works and administrative functions in certain organizations, including St. Jude General Hospital where she once served as Quality Management Representative.
Mira worked as Supply Management Head of Bayan Telecommunications, Inc., Vice-President for COE- Operations (Center of Excellence) for the Asian Institute for Medical Simulation (AIMS) Corporation. She was Associate Professor V at the University of Makati and Facilitator at the De La Salle University, College of St. Benilde. Mira has more than 20 years of corporate experience, the greater part of it as Asst. Vice President- Corporate Purchasing of Nestle Philippines, Inc. She also worked as Product Specialist and ASEAN coordinator for Cereal Partners Worldwide - Asia and was seconded to Goya, Inc. as Logistics Manager during her stint with Nestle. She has traveled and attended numerous local, regional, and international conferences in Switzerland, Australia, China, Cambodia, Egypt, Singapore and Malaysia. She was invited as a speaker on E-Procurement in the China International Logistics Summit in Beijing China including discussions on urban logistics for the 2008 Olympics. Mira was chosen as scholar and trainee to the Management Program for Logistics Management held in Japan by the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) in February-March 2005. She graduated B.S. Chemical Engineering at the Mapua Institute of Technology. She passed in 2002 the examination given by the Institute for Supply Management based in Tempe, Arizona for Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM). She was awarded “Superior Performance – Top 5 Students” in the Asian Institute of Management’s Basic Management Program. Jasper V. Tejano has years of solid experience in frontline sales and customer service, business communication and human resource training and development. He is engaged in organization development and training projects of various companies as a training consultant and facilitator. He has facilitated and designed training programs for the telecommunication, call center, management consulting, gaming and banking industries as well as the academe. Jasper has been a resident trainer-consultant of Sykes Asia, one of the largest multinational call center companies in the Philippines. Zenaida T. Veloso , a graduate of Liberal Arts (cum laude) from St. Scholastica’s College and B. S. Chemistry with post-graduate studies leading to M.S. Chemistry from the University of Sto. Tomas. Has an extensive experience and training in Quality Assurance of food, beverage and packaging products including Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points (HACCP), and ISO 9000, gained during her assignments as Quality Manager, Corporate Quality Manager and Senior Quality Consultant at San Miguel Corporation, and after retirement as an independent consultant connected with the Philippine Society for Quality, Inc. Zeny’s other credentials are accredited as trainor/consultant on HACCP by the EC-ASEAN, VP-Finance for the Asia Pacific Quality Organization, senior member of the American Society for Quality, associate member of the International Academy for Quality, and a lead assessor of the Philippine Quality Award. Fred Yoshino, PhD is an international consultant par-excellence whose forte includes global business strategies, outsourcing, re-engineering and others. Dr. Yoshino got his Doctor of Business Administration from Pacific Western University, Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and Bachelor of Arts in Law and Political Science from Keio University. Among others, Dr. Yoshino serves as consultant at the Asian Development Bank, economic commentator and newscaster for WINS Channel, columnist for Business Daily, and concurrently a professor at the Graduate School of Business of De La Salle University. He is an articulate English speaker and has been residing in the Philippines for the last 16 years.
