manager in On Semiconductor Phils is a manager in On Semiconductor Phils. in charge of Knowledge Management. This function sets him at the center stage of implementation and training on, among other things, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance FMEA, etc. as a support to the quality management program of the company. Chikki, as colleagues call him, has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education (Cum Laude) from Technological University of the Philippines and units in Master of Technology in the same school.

licensed Chemical Engineer from UST; consultant/facilitator on ISO9000, ISO22000, and HACCP an assessor for the Philippine Quality Award. She played leading role as QE in San Miguel’s Coconut Oil Milling & Refining Operations program that was responsible for European Union customers’ favorable response on the company’s coconut oil product. Later she worked with the Corporate Quality Office of San Miguel Corporation for 8 years where she handled training courses on Malcolm Baldrige, ISO, 5S, Internal Quality Audit and other TQM courses. She was the 5S and Knowledge Management coordinator for the Corporate Offices prior to her retirement at SMC in 1999.

Joel L. Bonagua

is a BS Statistics (Cum Laude) graduate from the University of the Philippines and is presently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Mathematics at the De La Salle University. An ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), he is currently connected with ON Semiconductor Philippines in charge of Backend Process Engineering and Six Sigma Black Belt Development Program. Joel has helped a number of corporations, here and abroad, in his capacity as a consultant.

Leodemayo C. Casis or Odze for short, a product of Philippine Science High School was Quality Systems Assurance Manager at On Semiconductor Philippines Inc. (formerly Motorola Philippines, Inc.) Odze graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Communications Engineering from St. Louis University in Baguio. Having more than 18 years experience in manufacturing, Mr. Casis is a qualified Auditor for ISO9001, QS-9000/TS16949, and ISO 14001having in-depth knowledge of international standards such as SAC, SEI-CMM and GMP.

is former Assistant-to-the-President of Liberty Broadcasting Network, Inc. His more than 30 years experience in sales and marketing function spanned from being a field sales representative to national sales manager and later in sales training. Mr. Domingo leads seminars and consults in, among others, sales training and effective negotiation. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the East and attended training of trainors here and abroad.

is a Safety Trainor at National Power Corporation where he designs and handles programs like Occupational Safety & Health, First Aid, Loss Control Management, Fire Safety, Job Hazard Analysis, Accident Investigation, and other Safety-related courses. Mr. Ello has an MBA and post-graduate diploma on Human Resource Development. He is an accredited Safety Consultant by the Department of Labor & Employment and Philippine National Red Cross respectively. A tireless safety preacher, Mr. Ello has helped other government agencies and private companies as well.

Isidro P. Espiritu

a lawyer/CPA by profession, Atty. Espiritu consults on financial and legal issues. Sid is a practicing lawyer/consultant and part-time professor of commercial law and accounting subjects (more than 25 years). He was Executive of Banking and Commercial Institutions (Philippines & US), Supervising Bank Examiner at the Central Bank, Audit Officer at Bank of California, Controller at Nextel, and worked with several other local and international (US) banks in various executive capacities.

Elisier M. Fantillo

does Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and other productivity improvement techniques. Elis finished his BS Industrial Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) and his MBA from De La Salle University. He has more than ten years of industrial experience in various companies Sterling: Trans-Trade, STI, and Fujitsu in various staff in managerial capabilities. In Addition to being a Kaizen consultant, he is also an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at MIT. Good-looking and excellent communicator, Engr. Fantillo appeared in certain TV commercials and print advertisements as a model.

Normand M. Ga

has a total of 15 years solid experience in which he specializes in supply chain management covering customer service, warehousing, reverse logistics and transportation management. He is currently the Project Director for Transfluent Management Logistics and had solid stint as General Manager for Adsia Logistics, SKMTI & STC (transport organizations). Moreover, he have been in various managerial capacities with IDS Logistics, Golden ABC and Selecta Ice Cream Corp. His logistics expertise covers cold chain management, fast moving consumer goods, garments, and transportation. Normand holds a post-graduate diploma in Supply Chain Management from De La Salle University and a Diploma on Manager’s Course at University of the Philippines ISSI. He is also a product of San Beda College for his collegiate course.

Jose A. Hilario

is a name that comes up very often in the field of energy conservation in refrigeration and air conditioning. A registered Professional Mechanical Engineer, Joe has been a consultant on energy conservation and efficiency of commercial establishments, food and electronics manufacturing. His experiences included managing a division of a large construction company on air conditioning and refrigeration, including its sales, design, manufacturing, project management, service and maintenance, and retrofitting such systems. Since the early 1980’s, he has been an international consultant/lecturer on energy conservation in refrigeration and air conditioning. In 1992, Engr. Hilario received the Energy Professional of the Year Award from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Joan Manaha

a Master of Engineering graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology and was one of the first certified Industrial Engineer in the Philippines.  Specializes in Operations Research, Decision Making Technology, Systems Simulation, Statistical Process and Control, and Reliability Maintenance. Ms. Manahan is an Industrial Engineer by heart and a passionate professor.  Some of her researches have been published both local and international. She is also a board member of Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Tita de la Cruz-Milan

was F&B Admin. Manager of Dusit Hotel Nikko where she has worked for more than 10 years. Earlier, she was Assistant Training Manager at the former Hotel Nikko Manila Garden Hotel in which directly puts her in-charge of seminars on oral and written communication, trainors training, personality development, work values, customer service relation, and secretarial enhancement, etc. Ms. Milan has been a consultant for several companies on work values and communication. She used to teach communication and management at Poveda School and Assumption College.

Enrico C. Mina,

DBAVice-President and Consulting Director of Kaizen Management Systems, Inc. with an AB Economics and BSBA (Summa cum Laude) degree from De La Salle University, and MBA from Ateneo de Manila University. Mensa member and winner of an international writing competition, Mr. Mina has an extensive experience in productivity improvement and cost management having occupied various managerial and consulting positions in the private sector. He consults on Kaizen (TQM), Lean/Just-in-Time, 5-S, Problem Solving Process, Cycle Time Improvement, Technical Writing and Team Building. Rico is Lead Assessor for PQA and a registered coordinator for COPC-2000, a quality management system standard for call centers. He is a candidate for a doctoral degree in Business Administration at De La Salle.

Pacifico O. Ortaliza

a Professional Mechanical Engineer is director and past president of the Maintenance Association of the Philippines. He has twenty years experience in boiler operation, maintenance of generator sets, power plant and foundry practice where he was involved in the design, estimate, construction, repair and erection of machinery including supervision of personnel. His experience covers various industries from shipyard to oil mills and various functions (operations, purchasing, materials management and warehouse design and operation) and worked himself up from mechanic to Vice President. design and operation) and worked himself up from mechanic to Vice President.

Gerardine Josefina L. Sayo, MD

got her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sto. Tomas. Among others, Dr. Sayo is a medical consultant in Psychiatry, Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. Gie, as she is fondly called, has served as resource person on various popular radio and television programs and seminars related to her field of expertise. On top of her clinical practice of medicine, she is involved in charity works and administrative functions in certain organizations, including St. Jude General Hospital where she once served as Quality Management Representative.

Miraluz C. Tan

Miraluz C. Tan, a Fellow in Supply Management, is currently a consultant and lecturer in the field of international purchasing and supply chain management (IPSCM). She is the Treasurer of the Foundation of the Society of Fellows in Supply Management. She was a former president of the Philippine Institute for Supply Management (PISM) and is a certified MLS (Modular Learning System) Trainer of the International Trade Center/ WTO UNCTAD based in Geneva, Switzerland. She was a member of ITC’s international and regional (Asia) committees. She is one of the trainers/facilitators of Ateneo Graduate School for Continuing Education for MLS.

Mira worked as Supply Management Head of Bayan Telecommunications, Inc., Vice-President for COE- Operations (Center of Excellence) for the Asian Institute for Medical Simulation (AIMS) Corporation. She was Associate Professor V at the University of Makati and Facilitator at the De La Salle University, College of St. Benilde. Mira has more than 20 years of corporate experience, the greater part of it as Asst. Vice President- Corporate Purchasing of Nestle Philippines, Inc. She also worked as Product Specialist and ASEAN coordinator for Cereal Partners Worldwide – Asia and was seconded to Goya, Inc. as Logistics Manager during her stint with Nestle. She has traveled and attended numerous local, regional, and international conferences in Switzerland, Australia, China, Cambodia, Egypt, Singapore and Malaysia. She was invited as a speaker on E-Procurement in the China International Logistics Summit in Beijing China including discussions on urban logistics for the 2008 Olympics.

Mira was chosen as scholar and trainee to the Management Program for Logistics Management held in Japan by the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarships (AOTS) in February-March 2005.

She graduated B.S. Chemical Engineering at the Mapua Institute of Technology. She passed in 2002 the examination given by the Institute for Supply Management based in Tempe, Arizona for Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM). She was awarded “Superior Performance – Top 5 Students” in the Asian Institute of Management’s Basic Management Program.

Jose S. Villegas,

 PHD– President of Kaizen Management Systems, Inc. is one of the founders of the Maintenance Association of the Philippines and became its president in 1992-93. Holds a Master of Engineering and BS Chemical Engineering degrees from Mapua Institute of Technology. He is an AOTS scholar on Production Management in Japan and trained in Energy Management in Korea and Japan and Maintenance Management in India. Mr. Villegas served in several companies in various technical and managerial capacities. Curious with a predisposition to problem solving, Joe is a course designer and in charged of R&D of KMSI. He facilitates and consults on Six Sigma, Lean/Just-in-Time System, Kaizen, Cycle Time Improvement, SPC and TPM.
